A Special Nominating Committee of Chevron Federal Credit Union (parent company of Spectrum Credit Union) has nominated three members for the Credit Union’s Board of Directors. 

Nomination by petition is also available to all members in good standing who wish to volunteer their time to serve on the Board. The Credit Union must receive petitions no later than Thursday, March 14, 2024. Please contact Alan Gin for information on the petition process.

Candidates’ names will be posted in all Credit Union branches on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. If the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled, the election will not be conducted by ballot, and there will be no nominations from the floor. 

Will Fleming

I joined Chevron Federal Credit Union just a few years ago but bring the perspective of having been a member of federal credit unions for over 35 years. I had the privilege to join the CFCU Board of Directors initially as an Associate Director in 2020 and continued my service through my first full term in April 2021. I welcome the opportunity to continue to serve as a Director and thereby seek reelection to a second three-year term beginning in 2024. I will leverage my 31 years of diverse Bechtel engineering, project, and business management experience to serve our members while advising management on well-balanced and informed business decisions that result in the best services and products.

Alice Flesher

I have been with Chevron Federal Credit Union since 2015 and was elected as a Director in November 2023, following one year of service as an Associate Director. I previously served on the Board of Directors for ExtraMile Convenience Stores. I welcome the opportunity and responsibility to serve you for a full three-year term beginning in 2024. It would be my privilege to leverage 20+ years of diverse experience including engineering, strategy, operations, and sales to provide perspectives to management that continue to keep Credit Union members at the center of services and products in this dynamic and fast-changing world. 

Marla L. Wright

I joined Spectrum Federal Credit Union in 1999. Following the merger with Chevron Federal Credit Union, I became an active Credit Union volunteer on the Houston Galleria Advisory Council, on which I am still active. It has been my honor and pleasure to represent the membership first as an Associate Director in 2015, a Director in 2016, and most recently accepting the additional responsibility of 3rd Vice President. I bring to the position 30+ years of Bechtel engineering and project management experience with a focus on work process controls, well-informed decision making, and financial soundness. With your continued support, I am seeking re-election to remain an advocate for excellent member service, providing products that are responsive to member needs, and strengthening connections with our sponsor organizations.

Here at Spectrum Credit Union, the year's end is a time to reflect, celebrate wins, and share ideas for the future.
