Please be on guard against scammers

We understand that cybersecurity is a critical concern, and we are committed to maintaining the utmost level of protection for your data and our services. Please keep in mind these cybersecurity best practices to help safeguard your sensitive personal and financial information.

  • Make sure you change your passwords frequently and use strong, hard-to-guess passwords.
  • Regularly review your credit report for accounts you did not open or inaccurate information.
  • Regularly review your account activity for unauthorized transactions.
  • Don’t share personal information or verification passcodes via the telephone, texts, or in reply to emails appearing to come from Spectrum Credit Union if you did not initiate the communication.
  • If someone asks you for confidential personal or financial information and says they are from Spectrum Credit Union, or if you receive a text message that includes a link, please do not provide any information or tap any links. Call us to verify instead.

Remember that we will not call or text you and ask you to share your account number, login credentials, or any other confidential information unless it is to authenticate a wire transfer request that you initiated online.

Another tip is that you have the right to place a Fraud Alert on your credit file for one year for any reason and at no cost. This alert recommends that creditors contact you before opening new accounts. Once a Fraud Alert has been placed at one agency, the other two will be notified automatically. To place a Fraud Alert, contact:
